Bluebirds v Wolves. Team news

The thin City squad just got thinner and Jones maybe forced into bringing Trevor Sinclair onto the bench.

The absense of Ledley will see a re-jig in midfield. Possibly Paul Parry moving to the wing with Steve Thompson starting with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink upfront or maybe using Aaron Ramsey in a wide role with Steve McPhail returning to central midfield after missing the game against Coventry.

Jones will have to decide if Peter Enckleman keeps his place after keeping a clean sheet at Coventry. Jon Brown came off the bench for his debut at The Ricoh on Tuesday and assuming he keeps his place in the 16 the gap in the squad vacated by Ledley could be filled by Darcy Blake or Sinclair.

City: possible Enckleman, McNaughton, Loovens, Johnson, Capaldi, Ramsey, McPhail, Rae, Whittingham, Hasselbaink, Parry. Subs from: Oakes, Purse, Brown, Blake, Sinclair, Thompson.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy will be forced into changes for the FA Cup fifth-round clash at Cardiff.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, George Elokobi, Dave Edwards and Dan Jones are all cup-tied for the Ninian Park clash having featured for other teams in the competition, although on-loan Coventry striker Kevin Kyle can play.

Winger Michael Kightly (ankle) and Stephen Ward (knee) both miss out, while Neill Collins (ankle) looks set to be out of action for another fortnight.

Nigerian midfielder Seyi Olofinjana will hope to return to the starting line-up after coming on as a late substitute in Tuesday's draw at Blackpool in his first game back since the African Nations Cup.

Jody Craddock featured for the reserves in midweek following a calf problem as he moved a step closer to full fitness.
