Bluebirds win at Bolton

Bolton 0 - 1 Cardiff City

Frazier Campbell scored from an acute angle in the 50th minute to send Cardiff into round 5 of the FA Cup.

Campbell had come on at half time for the ineffective Andreas Cornelius and it only took the striker 5 minutes to get on the scoresheet. Andy Lonergan in the Wanderers goal fumbled the ball and Campbell managed to thread it into the net.

The goal was followed by a celebration that saw Campbell pull his shorts up high to mimic Vincent Tan's high waistband.

The high winds and freezing temperatures contributed to a poor first half that produced little goal mouth activity.

At half time Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought on Campbell and Craig Noone and the pair had an immediate impact as Cardiff took control. Bolton tried to create chances late on but their finishing was woeful and when they did get an effort on target the defence was equal to it.

New signing Mats Moller Daehli made his city debut late on and was a breath of fresh air. The kid showed he has a talent and was dancing around the Bolton players.

Cardiff are now in the last 16 with the draw for the 5th round on Sunday afternoon.
