Welcome to Wales
Robbie Fowler will be introduced as Cardiff City player tomorrow or Tuesday. The official website has declared that Fowler has a agreed a deal with Cardiff City for a two year contract.

Fowler has been attracting the interests of several clubs including Sydney FC in Australia and closer to home Leciester City. There was also an audacious bid by Port Vale to sign him as well as enquiries fromn Glasgow and the USA.

But Robbie has chosen Cardiff City. He will become the 6th signing this summer after Tony Capaldi, Gavin Rae, Steve MacClean, Trevor Sinclair and Michael Oakes. No disrespect to the others but Fowler's capture is worldwide news. Of the 6 players signed so far 4 of them are experienced internationals. Capaldi for Northern Ireland, Rae for Scotland and Sinclair and Fowler for England.

The signings are not expected to stop either. Dave Jones has hinted he may still three more new faces in his squad over the next couple of weeks.

The news on Saturday morning that Fowler was signing for Cardiff City was soon reaching all corners of the world.

Orlando, Bangladesh, Canada, France, Italy, Singapore, Australia, of course all the UK media have reported it as well from the Times to The Sun, Sky Sports to Sporting Life and most places in between.

Sky Sports News on Saturday were saying they would televise the press conference live when it happened.

This surely has to be one of the biggest captures the club has ever made.
