He has signed on transfer deadline day for Brian Talbot's Oldham Athletic in a deal that will take him up to the end of the season. He played his last game for City away at Watford over Christmas, and has made 20 appearances for City this season.
Bonner's spell at Cardiff has seen the club move from the third division to the first, and he has always done a good job when called upon.
