Bring on Spurs, says Spencer Prior.

"Cardiff City don't fear anybody. We've got a good away record and we believe in ourselves."
Spencer Prior told the Echo.

The City defender played in the Premiership with Leicester and Man City and knows about football at that level. One of Prior's team mates at Leicester was Kasey Keller and his old mate is the current keeper for Spurs after Neil Sullivan injured his hand

"Kasey Keller is my best mate in football and I'll be on the phone to him this week telling him I'll notch one past him. We'll give Tottenham a good game and if we play to the best of our ability we might cause an upset."

Robert Earnshaw is also looking forward.

"It will be a big test for us as a team." He told the Echo. "The Premiership is a million miles away from us at the moment, but we need to start the long road to that level now and the first step is getting promoted this season."

None of the players though are losing focus on the primary objective this season. PROMOTION.

Rhys Weston, who has played for Arsenal reserves and knows a bit about local rivals Tottenham said

"The Clubs priority is the league and if we do well in this division then all the other things will follow. If we are going to play at the highest level then playing teams like Spurs tell us at what level we need to achieve. We will be up for the Spurs game, but only when that game comes around, it's very much a case of concentrating on the next game before us, and that is Brentford tomorrow night."

After Brentford City play at Notts County on Saturday, at Plymouth on Tuesday the 24th and at home to Crewe on September 28th. While the fans dream of the night out at White Hart Lane the players must remain focussed on league points.

At the time of writing there is no news on the actual date of the Spurs game or the ticketting arrangements. There is the possibility of live SKY coverage.
