Our West Country cousins came from behind to beat Notts County 3 - 2 at Ashton Gate and close the gap to 2 points behind City.

Wigan lead on 44 points, City have 43 and now Bristol City have 41.

The last three Bristol City league games have produced 18 goals, they have had to come from behind in all three games.

Scott Murray, who put Dean Gordon to the sword last season, was again heavily involved tonight, he scored his 16th goal of the season (he's a midfielder) and set up the winner.

Both Bristol and Cardiff are away at non league opposition in the cup this weekend before the massive Sky televised live clash at Ninian Park on December 14th, ko 5:35pm.
