Campbell failed to reach personal agreements with Leicester and it seems Selhurst Park is going to be his new home.
Both Leicester and Palace offered enough to trigger a release clause, thought to be around £800,000.
Campbell scored just six times for Cardiff in the Premier League last season, they were against Man City (3), Man Utd (1), Sunderland (1) and Liverpool (1).
