Can City make it 8 unbeaten? Stoke match preview

Jeff Whitley can play tonight. He picked up his 5th yellow card of the season at Millwall on Saturday and faces a one match ban, but the papers today say that will be the game at home against Luton on Saturday.

Alan Lee could be set to start upfront if Michael Ricketts does not overcome a bout of illness. Ricketts was poorly on Saturday but still played most of the match. Lee, without a goal since January, must take his oportunity with both hands. In the last 35 games he's taken part in he has just the one goal, that was in the FA Cup home game against Blackburn last January. City of course will hope Cameron Jerome can pop up with a goal or two but, if he plays, Lee must really start to contribute to the goals scored column.

City are likely to stay the same in defence with Alexander, Barker, Weston, Loovens and Purse hoping for a 4th consecutive league clean sheet. Hopefully we'll have a little more flair going forward after a dire performance at Millwall.

Likely line up tonight

Alexander, Barker, Loovens, Purse, Weston, Cooper, Koumas, Ledley, Whitley, Ricketts (or Lee), Jerome.
