Can Crewe de-rail Preston?

Last updated : 27 March 2006 By Michael Morris
Preston entertain Crewe on Tuesday in a game that Crewe cannot afford to lose. They sit at the botton of the table some 10 points from a safe spot and this is their one game in hand. After a huge win over Coventry last Saturday I'm hoping the overwhelming need to win again will carry the Railwaymen to a result a Deepdale.

Should Preston win (they have only won once in the last 7) it would take them 5 points ahead of Wolves and City with all teams having 6 games to play.

If Crewe can get just a point it will keep Wolves and City breathing hard down Preston's neck.

Congratulations to Reading who were promoted on the weekend after a 1 - 1 draw at Leicester.
