"Obviously there was a couple of senior players missing last night, but it was great to show I can captain Wales," Joe said.
"It was great to get a win in my first game as captain - and a real honour to lead my country out.
"Every player wants to captain their country and it's great for me to achieve it."
Wales face Azerbaijan in Baku on Saturday June 6th in a World Cup qualifier.
