They led at half time after a Robert Snodgrass goal in the 5th minute and after going 2 - 1 down in the second half they piled the pressure on Cardiff. David Marshall produced some world class saves, the woodwork helped and the linesman ruled out two goals for offisde.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a tactical substitution seven minutes before half time. Peter Whittingham, who was having a poor game, was taken off an Wilfried Zaha (pictured) came on for his debut. His arrival boosted the crowd, who perhaps harshly made it uncomfortable for Whittingham as he left the pitch.

The game swung Cardiff's way in two second half minutes. Zaha intercepeted a poor Norwich pass and played Craig Bellamy in to score his first goal of the season, Bellamy set a new record for being the only player to score for seven different clubs in the Premier League.

After the restart Cardiff were pushing forward again. They won a corner which was taken short to Fabio, he set up Craig Noone down the line and from Noone's cross Kenwyne Jones had a header bocked but the ball sat up for him to volley into the roof of the net. He celebrated with a cartwheel, somersault and an Ayatollah.

From then on Cardiff were restriced to attacking on the break. They nearly scored a third when an effort deflected off Jones but the spinning ball clipped the post.

Norwich did everything but score. Marshall's saves were breathtaking, and when they did beat him the post, Bellamy off the line and the linesmans flag kept Cardiff in front.

Five long agonising minutes were seen out to see Cardiff pick up a massive three points. The Bluebirds are off the bottom of the table (Fulham take thir place) and are still only six points off 11th place.

It's all to play for. Next up a South Wales derby against Swansea on Saturday tea time.
