Cardiff 3 - 2 Blackpool. Doyle double sees City home

Thankfully City stopped Blackpool from getting a first and only away win of the season.

City were cruising against the already relegated Lancastrians after first half goals from Joe Mason and an Eoin Doyle penalty. Just after half time though Orlandi, on as a half time sub, strolled through midfield to score from 20 yards.

Blackpool showed some spirit but we're second best to a more mobile and attacking City side. It's not often you call City mobile and attacking but fair play to Doyle, Mason and especially Mark Kennedy who ran their socks off. The scoreline could have been far worse for Blackpool as City eased into a 3 - 1 lead after a second penalty from Doyle.

But as usual City made us sweat a little by conceding an injury time goal to make it 3 - 2. David Marshall needed to make a save after that to stop Blackpool from levelling.

There was a late cameo from Nicky Maynard as he returned to action after injury but it was probably the last time we'll see him.
