In modern football you rarely ever see the numbers 1 - 11 run out onto the pitch but it usually gives an indication of the managers thinking.
Kenwyne Jones gets the strikers no. 9 shirt while John Brayford (pictured) is allocated the no. 2 shirt.
New signings Kagisho Dikcagoi, Adam Le Fondre, Federico Macheda, Javi Guerra and Guido Burgstaller get 8, 10, 14, 22 and 30 respectively.
Gary Medel, who is expected to be on his way to Inter very soon loses his no. 8 shirt taken as mentioned above by Dikcagoi. Medel is given no. 19 while loan players Kevin McNaughton, Ben Hugent and Jo Inge Berget have also been alocated a squad number.
Forgotten man Etien Velikonja is also included.
