Cardiff City say that no aproach has been made to either the club or Dave Jones himself regarding the manager's job at Fulham. The bookies made Jones 11/4 favourite today after a deal for Marin Jol to move to Craven Cottage collapsed.
Cardiff though have denied contact from Fulham and said:
"Neither the club or the manager have received an approach from Fulham football club regarding the vacant managers job at Craven Cottage.
"As ever, he is 100% concentrating on preparing the team for the new season."
Jones could be forgiven for wanting to jump ship after it emerged today another football debt is holding the club back from any transfer dealings. Motherwell announced they were still waiting for monies owed from the sale of Paul Quinn last summer.
Apart from Tom Heaton and the un-registered Danny Drinkwater Jones has been unable to buy a player for virtually a whole year.
