Anthony Pilkington could return to action after missing the previous three games due to a thigh strain.

Defender Lee Peltier came off at half-time in midweek but will be available on Saturday.

The 30-year-old is in need of an operation but manager Neil Warnock has said he can undergo surgery when Cardiff are safe from relegation. 

Norwich could include their deadline-day signings, winger Yanic Wildschut and left-back Mitchell Dijks.

Forward Nelson Oliveira is available again after completing a three-match suspension.

DR Congo midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has returned from the African Nations Cup, but Matt Jarvis (hamstring), Graham Dorrans (knee) and Louis Thompson (Achilles) continue their recoveries.

Robbie Brady was sold to Burnley ahead of the transfer deadline, while winger Sergi Canos has joined Brentford and striker Carlton Morris has gone on loan to Rotherham.
