22 year old midfielder Tom Adeyemi looks set for a move to Cardiff City in the next 24 / 48 hours.
Birmingham knocked back a bid last week from an unnamed Championship club but it's emerged now that the club was likely to have been Cardiff. After an improved offer, coupled with the player handing in a transfer request, it seems that Birmingham are resigned to losing the player to their Championship rivals.
Birmingham are in financial trouble and just can't refuse the latest offer thought to be around £1m plus add ons and a sell on clause.
Adeyemi joined Birmingham from Norwich a year ago and had one year left on his Blues contract.
He was voted the clubs young player of the season and had been made vice captain by manager Lee Clark.
