Cardiff City will face holders Arsenal at Highbury on the weekend of January 7th 2006. This is the last season Arsenal play at their famous home before moving to Ashburton Grove.

Of course historically the clubs have connections. Cardiff's only ever FA Cup final victory was over Arsenal in 1927.

Arsenal are huge, City have drawn one of the biggest clubs in the country.

Ticket details have still to be announced exactly but the club have said Ambassadors and Season Ticket holders will get first crack at match tickets. For cup games Arsenal usually hand over the whole Clock End and for example last week Reading took over 7,000 fans to Highbury for a League Cup match.

Arsenal, Cardiff and FA Cup have been mentioned together quite a lot in recent years with The Gunners making the Welsh capital a home from home for the time the FA Cup finals have been played at the Millennium Stadium.

Arsenal have won the competition three times in the past 5 years that the matches have been played in Cardiff. They lost in Cardiff in 2001 but were victorious in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
