Cardiff will face League One side Colchester Utd in the FA Cup 3rd round.
Nearly seven years after the sides fought out a 1 - 1 draw at Layer Rd in The Championship the teams will meet this time at Cardiff City Stadium
Colchester's last visit to the capital was in December 2007 when they were soundly beaten 4 - 1 by a Cardiff side that included Peter Whittingham. Whitts scored that day and is the only player still at the club from that time (although Kevin McNaughton played but he's currently out on loan).
