Cardiff City will face Portsmouth at CCS in the first round of the Carabao Cup (League Cup).
The competition is regionalised and seeded in the first round. Portsmouth have just been promoted to League One and they also have a new maanger. Kenny Jacket has taken over from Paul Cook who left the club for a new job at Wigan.
The match is to be played during the week commencing Monday 7th August.
As a result of the teams facing each other the friendly game planned for Saturday 29th of July has been postponed.
