City supporters can then look forward to a summer trip to Blackpool the following Saturday.

The season starts on August 8th. Scunthorpe were promoted via the play offs and will be the first team to face City in a competitive fixture in The Cardiff City Stadium.

Of course the early showing of the fixtures will be subject to change. TV games, police requests and international rugby matches have a bearing on matches so expect to see kick off time changes and matches brought forward or put back a day. Especially the two matches against Swansea which are scheduled for November (a) and April (h)

One big trip City fans are looking forward to is to Newcastle. The Bluebirds face The Magpies at St James Park on a Saturday in February.

The midweek fixtures have been kind as well. 5 away midweek games at Plymouth, West Brom, Reading, Bristol City and Coventry.

The season ends away at Derby County on Sunday May 2nd.
