Slade will also assess Lee Peltier, who came off as a precaution in the second half having suffered tightness in his hip, but the former Huddersfield man looks likely to be declared fit and keep his place.

Scott Malone also sustained a knock and will be assessed as City look for their first win in six.Fit-again midfielder Dale Stephens has been added to the Brighton squad after 10 months on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.

On-loan defender Greg Halford is also available after missing three games with a calf injury and then being ineligible to face his parent club Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Striker Sam Baldock could return having missed the 3-2 home defeat by Forest due to a hamstring strain, but winger Solly March is a doubt after limping off with a calf injury.Kazenga LuaLua came on for March in the first half, but he is unlikely to be thrown into the starting line-up just yet having been out since November with a knee injury.
