Cardiff v Hull

Last updated : 10 September 2010 By BBC Sport

And Hull can give a debut to Anthony Gerrard after signing the midfielder on a season-long loan from Cardiff.

Craig Fagan, yet to appear this season because of a hip injury, and defender Paul McShane, who has shaken off a hamstring strain, could both feature.

MATCH PREVIEW

Cardiff City, second in the table and unbeaten in the Championship with three wins from their last three matches, face a Hull side whose frailties away from home continue.

Hull have gone 26 away matches without a victory and last won on the road in March 2009. Relegation to the Championship surely made it only a matter of time before the Tigers finally gave their travelling fans a victory to celebrate, but so far this season they have lost all three of their away matches.

Having started their campaign with an encouraging 2-0 triumph at home to Swansea, Hull have not won since. And all seven of the goals they have conceded have been away from home - a worrying sign ahead of a trip to face Cardiff's Craig Bellamy-led strikeforce.

Cardiff's mission is to continue their excellent start to the season and, this time, maintain it. Ten points from their opening four matches is exactly the same as their return this time last year, but with Bellamy on board they have high hopes of staying in the top two.
