Wycombe have looked doomed for weeks but in fairness they have dug out results and with the teams above them continuing poor form the Chairboys still have a slim, but unlikely chance of staying up.

Because of this it's not going to be a gentle kick about at CCS tomorrow. Wycombe need to win all their games and hope others continue to fail. Defeat in South Wales might see them still in with a mathematical chance of survival but GD is against them as well, it will all be over for them if Derby get a win and Wycome fail to win.

Mick McCarthy is aware of the importance and integrity of the situation and will not throw a bunch of kids in just yet.

"I’m not just going to throw a whole load of kids in," McCarthy said on Friday morning. "We have got really important games against teams fighting relegation.

"I want to win the games. I want to be competitive in the games.

"There is an integrity we have to live up to."

Wycombe, managed by former Bluebird Gareth Ainsworth, won in the midweek coming from a goal down to win 2 - 1 with Adebayo Akinfenwa scoring an injury time penalty. His first ever goal at this level. Crazy scenes.
