The Trust board wanted to confirm that we will be holding a pre-Christmas foodbank collection before the Doncaster Rovers game on Saturday, December 13th, in aid of the Rhondda Foodbank.
This will be the Trust's seventh collection in aid of some of the most vulnerable families and individuals. We wish foodbanks were not necessary but sadly so many are struggling today that they are facing increasing demand.
As mentioned previously, it is to the credit of Trust members, Cardiff City FC staff and players and fans generally that we've been able to donate more than 6,000 items of food and other products to foodbanks. In addition, a considerable amount of cash donations has been given to foodbanks.
As you are aware, everyone is facing rising food and energy prices so the Trust board and foodbanks generally really do appreciate your fantastic backing for the collections and hope you will again support this initiative, if you are able.
More details nearer the time about what items are most needed by the foodbank.
