Charlton and Bristol City join the Championship

Valley of tears
They join Watford in the fall from the top flight after they were beaten 2 - 0 at The Valley by Spurs. Anything less than a win would have seen them relegated and it was an impossible task from as early as the 6th minute when Berbatov game Tottenham the opening goal. Jermaine Defoe wrapped it up in in jury time.

The third relegated team will be either Wigan, West Ham or Sheff Utd. Basically West Ham need a point to stay up (they face Man Utd at Old Traford). Wigan will survive if the beat Sheff Utd at Bramall Lane. Quite simple for them. Win or bust. If that happened Utd would survive if West Ham lose.

Coming up from League 1 we welcome Bristol City. They clinched automatic promotion on the weekend and probably secures us a bubble trip next season after we lost the one to Leeds. We will lose one team in the play offs, Wolves, Southampton, Derby and W.B.A. are battling for the last promotion place.

Scunthorpe were already promoted from League 1 and they will be joined by one of the following teams. Yeovil, Blackpool, Nottingham Forest or Oldham. They are in the play offs to win that last place in the Championship.
