Chopra linked to Q.P.R.

The suggestion is that Chopra's Indian background is attractive to Rangers' managing director Ishan Saksena and vice-chair Amit Bhatia, who are hoping to build a QPR fan base in a country of more than a billion people.

What is unclear though is who is chasing who. There's an element of thought that Chopra is the one wanting the move. This carries on from the supposed in-fighting at Cardiff City over the last week. Could Chopra be one of the unhappy players and is looking for a move away?

Dave Jones claimed there was an agenda to de-stabilise the club.

"People are trying to destabilise this club by setting rumours off about fighting and arguing," Jones told BBC Wales.

"I promise everyone - and I don't lie - there is no trouble at this football club, we have a great bunch of players.

"(We need to) get rid of all the destabilisers around this place - and then watch us fly."

Rangers boss Neil Warnock said of the speculation, "I think once our people find out what he would cost including wages - and I'm guessing at anything upwards of a £3million transfer - they'll think again, despite what he might do for Rangers' profile in India."

Claims of unhappy dressing rooms and want away players are the last thing we need at the moment. City need to pull together and look to move clear in second place, not just hang onto it by a thread.
