Michael Chopra is set for a dramatic return to Ninian Park. It's being reported that Chopra will sign a two month loan deal on Thursday that will see him a Cardiff City player until the end of 2008.

Talks are said to have been ongoing between Cardiff City and Sunderland today with a deal likely to be concluded in time for Chopra to line up for City against Q.P.R. (ironically a team also chasing his services) on Saturday.

City are looking for loan players to cover the injuries to Ross McCormack (Out for upto 4 weeks) and Jay Borthroyd (upto 8 weeks).

Chopra has started just one game for Sunderland this season and has come off the bench 5 times. He scored twice as the Black Cats beat Middlesbrough back in September.

He left Cardiff City in 2007 for a whopping £5m after a hugely successful season at Ninian Park.
