Chopra has signed a new long term deal.

Speaking to the official website www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk Chopra said

"I'm just happy that it's now been all completed.

"The whole negotiations have shown that the club is ambitious - we have a lot of good players here, and hopefully that will continue with a final push to try and get into the play-offs, and hopefully the Premiership.

"The main thing for me is to try and keep scoring goals - that's my job and that's what I get paid to do.

"If I can do that, then it will obviously help the team. I've been in the city centre on our season-ticket promotion, and the fans have made it clear that they want me to stay.

"I love playing here and any footballer will tell you, you're happiest when you're playing games week in week out. As I said before, Newcastle could have offered me the best contract in the world, but I don't want to be known as the best player in training only never to get a game. Cardiff have shown their commitment to me and I'm keen to repay that every week."

Chopra is raring to go against Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley this weekend after admitting he was a bit rusty against Sunderland. Chopra played against the Black Cats despite previously expecting to be out for upto 4 weeks.
