Chopra threatens to quit

The comments are quite damning but I'm curious to know in what context they were said.

Did he phone the Echo just to say this or did they contact him and ask for his reaction to the current financial issues that we are currently being seen aired in public.

Either way it's quite a stunning explosion of frustration from one of City's star players.

"I'm well hacked off." Chopra says

"If this club doesn't bring in new players, I'm off.

"I've had enough. Nothing is moving, with just a couple of weeks until the new season.

"I can see that we will struggle this season if people at board level don't get real and sort this matter (the financial struggles) out sooner rather than later.

"It's not good for morale and I'm not the only one fuming about the lack of movement in the camp."

Chopra goes on to say it's a ridiculous situation to be in.

Added to the Jones links to Fulham and Motherwell making public our non payment to them the Chopra blast is making it a concerning time for City who start the new season in just two weeks time.

The end of the month is fast approaching when wages will be due again. Already the club are negotiating with players to defer their bonus when as fans we wish they whould be negotiating new contracts and new signings.

Cardiff are in pre season action tomorrow with a trip to Notts County.
