City after Delaney?

Delaney in action as a City player
Delaney, speaking to the Villa website said

"I have to be totally honest, I've got a real soft spot for the Bluebirds and would take any offer in the future very seriously indeed."

The comments had been taken that Delaney at some stage in the future may want to come back to Cardiff.

Now today www.nationwide.co.uk are carrying comments from an unconfirmed source that say

"Sam has been open in his interest in Delaney.

"He’s been asking a lot of questions about him. Once that starts happening you can bet your life something is cooking – he did the same thing before buying Graham Kavanagh and Peter Thorne."

Delaney only made 12 appearances last season in which injuries blighted his chances.

Would he come to Cardiff now? Would David O'Leary let him go?

Add his name to the list of connected players.

There is talk that Brighton may be interested in John Robinson. It's long been thought that Robinson would be Lennie's first summer signing but it was Brighton where he started his career and he still lives in that area. Of course the Seagulls are now in Division 2 so he may not want to drop to that level.

As for players going out Gareth Ainsworth is said to be interesting Walsall and QPR.
