City agree 3 month loan with Blackburn midfielder

As reported earlier Mahon is an Irish international with a couple of caps and is a highly rated wide left player. Blackburn fans this morning were surprised he was leaving as he is seen as cover for Damien Duff.

Several clubs are interested in Mahon but Lennie hopes he will sign for Cardiff in time to be in the squad for Port Vale on Tuesday. Excellent news.

The news of Mahon's proposed move to Ninian Park comes on the same day that Lennie told the official website that the move for Bjorn Helge Riise has fallen through.
