Cardiff City will play Ayr United at Somerset Park as a replacement game for the postponed match against St Mirren.

The police intervened and called off the St Mirren game as they feared potential crowd trouble with Millwall and Birmingham in the area at the same time.

The fixture will take place on Tuesday July 23rd kick off 7:30pm. City open their friendly campaign at Merthyr on Saturday July 20th (3:00pm), then Ayr Utd on the 23rd before the pre booked weekend fixtures of Clyde on Friday July 26th and Motherwell on July 28th. The first team end the pre season campaign with home games against Wolves and Boilton on July 31st and Aug 3rd respectively.
