City Chief Exec calls fans 'Morons'

At a time when a letter of apology for such a shocking performance would have been warranted the Chief Executive David Temme has hit out at the paying customers who come to Ninian Park week in week out.

The full interview between Press and Media Manager Neil Hughes and David Temme can be found here on the official website.

Claims are made in the statement that City fan's boo'ed Gavin Gordon onto the pitch when Gareth Ainsworth was substituted. Thats wrong, Lennie's tactic of taking Ainsworth off was the reason for the booing.

Lennie has himself admitted that in hindsight it was the wrong thing to do

"I understand their frustration. I made a substitution which was unpopular. I now accept it was the wrong decision if only because of the abuse I took and the hostility among the crowd had a negative effect on the team".

We still have a chance of promotion, we could still be a Division 1 team in less than a fortnight. 1,500 fans will be at Ashton Gate on Tuesday cheering City on, what happened on Saturday happened, the club, the manager and the players must accept their part of the blame, hold their hands up and then move on, fans will respond to honesty and would appreciate the hurt that everyone must be feeling.

To start a battle with the fans in my opinion is not the way to go and I can see no winners.
