City come face to face with former skipper Purse

He's become skipper at Hillsborough and will line up against City on Saturday afternoon.

Purse's replacement, Mark Hudson, is a similar player to Purse and there are those that say there's very little difference between them. We'll get a chance to find out on Saturday.

Purse has been speaking to the official Sheffield Wednesday website ahead of the game and here are his thought:

"We have to be on our guard because Cardiff are an excellent side going forward so if we can keep that side of their game quiet - with the way that we have been playing going forward and scoring goals - then this is a winnable game for us.

"Cardiff are unpredictable on the road like a lot of teams in the Championship. They beat Reading away but lost to Doncaster and struggled up at Blackpool so it would seem they are not at their best on their travels and hopefully we can make that count in our favour."

Purse played the 90 minutes when City's play off hopes came to an end back in May. This time he'll be hoping to keep his former team mates out.
