Chief Exec David Temme said

"It will cost us in excess of £300,000. It is a major loss and could be very difficult for us. We've made decisions on people fulfilling a contract."

City will suffer from the loss of the £120,000 direct cash for the shirt sponsorship and then the cost of upto 8,000 replica shirts that have already been printed as well as Christmas merchandise that has already been ordered.

The task of finding a new sponsor starts now.
