Several newspapers have this morning carried the same story that Cardiff City are cash strapped and £24m in debt. The banks are said to have put a halt to spending at Ninain Park which amongst other things is affecting the chance of City signing Lee Bullock from York City. It's also claimed City are trying to sell Earnie and Gabbidon to bring money into the club.

The club have denied such rumours with Chief Exec David Temme going onto say

"None of our leading players will be leaving. How on earth could we sell out a new stadium if we sell players like Earnshaw and Gabbidon?

"We have solid finances and a solid business plan. Our borrowing is where we expected it to be at this stage of our development. There are no surprises.

"We know exactly where we are and exactly where we are going."
