No injuries were reported after the midweek draw that sent City to the top of Division 2. The Bluebirds will line up

Alexander, Weston, Prior, Gabbidon, Croft, Boland, Kavanagh, Whalley, Legg. Thorne and Earnshaw. Subs. Margetson, Barker, Maxwell, Leo FW, Campbell.

City can keep their lead at the top by beating Crewe. With only two points between the teams it should be a cracking game. Crewe are unbeaten away from home, they play football and should provide decent opposition for a City side that are usually frustrated by the nine men defence most teams bring with them.

Gareth Whalley was a product of the Crewe youth system so expertly marshalled by Dario Gradi. Whalley is still very fond of Crewe and played some time on loan there last season. He joined the Railwaymen when he was 12 and inc the loan period has played nearly 240 games for Crewe. Gradi actually advised Whalley to join Cardiff City in the summer.

Gradi is also the man who taught Sam Hammam about football.

Kick off at Ninian Park is 3:00pm. Tickets are available from the ticket office and ticket booths up until kick off time and you can pay at the gate for the terracing. There will be coverage in the chatroom and first reaction on the messageboard.
