Cardiff City are away for the 4th season running on the opening day of the season. This time it's a tricky trip to Portman Rd to face Ipswich Town on Augsut 6th. Joe Royle's side just missed out on automatic promotion last season before failing in the play offs.

It's a busy opening week with two home games in quick succession, Leeds visit Ninian park on Tuesday 9th August with Watford the visitors on August 13th.

Other notable matches are visits to Hull's new KC Stadium on December 3rd and to St Mary's to face Southampton on April 1st.

The season will end at another new stadium. Coventry City's fine new home will welcome the Bluebirds on April 30th 2006.

The full fixture list can be found here on the Official Website.
