Chris Burke broke through one on one in the first half only to see Speroni save and apart from a few efforts high and wide that was about it from City's attack.

Palace, without a point or a goal in four previous away games set themselves up for a point right from the start and then looked to win the game by hitting an obliging City on the counter. The two best moments of the game involved stunning saves from Tom Heaton.

Palace, led by Edgar Davids were allowed too much time on the ball from a City side that lacked a spark going forward.

It's not all doom and gloom though. We didn't lose, and Q.P.R. only drew 0 - 0 as well. City stay 2nd and are no further behind Rangers than we were before kick off.

Next up City face Barnsley on Saturday at Oakwell and all the suggestions seem to be that Craig Bellamy will be back.
