City hope to capture Routledge on permanent deal

The on loan winger is out of contract at the end of the season so is available at a knock down price thought to be around £300,000.

It's personal terms that will be the main issue.

"The two sides are close enough and we are waiting on a response from Wayne." said City Chairman Peter Ridsdale.

It's been suggested the clubs might try to get a deal done asap today to allow Wayne to play against Reading in the FA Cup tomorrow.

It would be a huge statement of intent if City can get Routledge to sign. He's been excellent in his time here and we want to see him here permanently and not just until Jan 17th.
