City hoping for Koumas clearance

WBA are looking to sell Jason Koumas and as such may not want him cup-tied. City of course want Jasn to play against Arsenal and also to keep him until the end of the season at least. Longer if we can do a deal to buy him.

Dave Jones is in contact with Albion and hopes to have Koumas on the pitch this Saturday.

Will we get permission to play him?

"We're going to speak to West Brom and find out," said Jones.

"I don't think it's going to be a deal-breaker if he's not eligible to play in the FA Cup. So hopefully it won't be one of the big clubs coming in for him and he'll stay with us.

"They want to sell him but Jason doesn't want to go anywhere, he wants to see out the season with us and hopefully we can do something with him.

"Is it going to be now? Probably not, but hopefully it can be done at the end of the season."

Jones is said to be still talking to Leeds over Michael Ricketts. The striker is due back at Elland Rd unless a further deal can be done to keep him at Ninian Park.
