Malky Mackay pulled out of the race to sign Richard Keogh just hours before the Coventry defender signed for Derby County

Keogh has been linked with City for several weeks but at lunchtime today Mackay withdrew his interest.

And within hours Keogh had confirmed a move to Derby County on a three year deal.
