City linked with Cousin. But is it agent speak?

Cousin, currently with Hull City, made some disparaging remarks about Phil Brown when he thought he was on the way to Burlney on transfer deadline day.

That move fell through and now the striker is being linked to Cardiff City.

Cousin's agent, Willie Mackay, has been talking.

"He's got a contract for a couple of years at Hull," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I wouldn't think that Daniel would want to move to a Championship club but Dave Jones at Cardiff is a good manager and always liked him when he was at Wolves."

Mackay you might remember is also Ross McCormack's agent.

I'll leave you decide yourself what affect agents have and what to believe.

Peter Ridsdale is sure though that Cousin is not a Cardiff City target.

"We were looking at him when he was with Rangers, but twice now we have decided no," said Ridsdale.

"His agent has been trying to put him into us - as a swap with Ross McCormack.

"I agree we need another big striker. We won't bring him in until we find one. But we can bring somebody in on loan."

I think I'd rather have an injured Ross McCormack that an unsettled player touted by his agent.
