One of the party was HRH Prince Abdullah of Pahang who is the son of the Sultan of Pahang. The Sultan was formerly the equivilent of the King of Malaysia so a distinguished guest indeed.

Prince Abdullah (Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah) is also the Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia and was in Cardiff speaking about a collaboration that sees Cardiff City setting up an Academy in Malaysia for the benefit of both sides.

'Through this collaboration, we hope we can gain something by having programmes that we share together,' he told the New Straits Times.

'Someday we hope to see Malaysian players playing for Cardiff.'
