mboroWith five games remaining Cardiff hold 6th place in the Championship. After a disappointing run of form Cardiff finally came good against their stuttering opponents Middlesbrough.

The game ended 2 nil to Cardiff with City taking the two goal lead as early as the 19th minute.

City had to make a change after five minutes when Kenny Miller was injured in a challenge and was unable to continue. Joe Mason came on and within five mintues City were a goal up through Ben Turner before super sub Mason scored the 2nd.

The home side were boo'd off at half time as they were heading to another game without a win, this is now seven in a row they've failed to pick up three points.

Cardiff though lost some of their strangelehold on the game in the second half as M'boro put the pressure on but this time City held strong and came away with a superb and critically timed victory.

If Middlesbrough had won then Cardiff's play off hopes would all but have gone.

Well done to the 453 fans who made the trip. Have a great journey home.

Next up Cardiff face Watford at CCS on Monday. KO is at 3:00pm. It's another massive match.
