The event is again being held in a luxury marquee in the grounds of Sophia Gardens. Some 500 guests will enjoy a champagne reception and get to meet and mingle with Dave Jones and the players.

There are several awards up for grabs like Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year from the CCSC as well as awards from the 1927 Club and the www.cardiffcity.com Internet Mailing List.

Favourites for the player of the year must be the lads in defence who have all impressed. Paul Parry up front and Aaron Ramsey have also had big impacts and will be in contention for the major awards.

The Goal of the Season and Magic Moment Awards also have many candidates with cracking goals from Kevin McNaughton, Jimmy Floyd Haselbaink, Peter Whittingham and last week Joe Ledley, all in the fA Cup.

City have also broken records that have been running for years with wins at outposts such as Blackpool and Norwich.

Results and pictures to follow on Sunday.
