City players in fitness race for Friday.

Gabbidon we all know about could be ready to play but it's almost certain he will be targetted for the Bristol City game on Dec 14th.

Peter Thorne suffered a minor knee problem against Chesterfield on Sunday and while he wanted to play last night Lennie and the physio told him to rest and so he will be ready for Friday.

Willie Boland was subbed at half time last night after a slight groin / back problem. Spencer Prior was also subbed last night after he complained of a sore back.

Boland Thorne and Prior all hope to overcome their ailments and be ready for Friday nights crucial clash against QPR.

Last week Lennie said he expected three wins from three games in 6 days. Well so far so good two out of two. QPR are a team wounded by last nights major FA Cup shock, they were beaten at Loftus Rd by Vauxhall Motors of Ellesmere Port. Ranting and raving fans on the radio this morning were far from impressed and they will expect Rangers to rectify the situation on Friday night.

A couple of players will have given lennie some thinking to do. I can't see Alexander losing his first team place but there are good shouts for James Collins and Jason Bowen to maybe come into the team.

I think though Lennie will opt for Alexander, Weston, Prior, Barker, Croft, Maxwell, Boland, Kavanagh, Legg, Thorne, Earnshaw. Subs Margetson, Collins, Bowen, Leo FW, Campbell. (providing they are all fit).

QPR v City is at 7:45pm on Friday.
