Daniel Gabbidon, Rhys Weston and Robert Earnshaw have been named in a 29 man initial squad for the friendly v USA in San Hose, California on May 26th. Hughes will trim his squad to 20 for the trip but before then he will have to wait to see what teams make the play off finals. There are Welsh players in the Sheff Utd, Reading, Notts Forest and Cardiff teams any of whom could be in play off final action on the weekend before the international.

Hughes has named 10 players on standy by, they include Steve Jenkins and Lee Fowler.
