City sell out of Liverpool tickets

Tickets went on sale to Ambassadors on Wednesday and would have then been sold to Season Ticket holders and Away Travel members next Tuesday. But with more Ambassador's than tickets available all were snapped up in a little over 48 hours.

It's disappointing for ST holders and Away Travellers who have not had chance to get one.

Ambassadors were the first people to buy their season ticket in the summer. If you purchased before a certain date you were an Ambassador. After that date, even thought you still bought a full season ticket, you are just a season ticket holder. Ambassadors therefore get first priority.

To go to any away game you must become an Away Travel memebr, in this case though even that would not have been enough to get you a ticket.

Consideration was not given either to those who went to WBA in the last round.

There are complicated ways of trying to decide just who should get priority on tickets but as this situation tends to happen only around once a season if that it seems pointless to invest in new procedures.

The usual rule is those who paid up to the club first to buy their season tickets are the ones who get first chance at big game tickets.

Fans have been told that the police will carry out random checks on identity cards to make sure you are who you say you are.

The match at Anfield is on Wednesday 31st October, ko 8:00pm.
