The youngster had a trial at City and has now completed a move. York City will be eligable for a compensation fee and have put sign on clauses into the contract.

"The move is completely independent of the Lee Bullock transfer," York finace director Terry Doyle said today. "Scott's decided he wants to go down there and we will be given a compensation fee.

"It's a small but fair one and there will be the normal add-ons should he get a professional contract with a sell-on clause as well. The deal will be valuable to us if he makes progress."

Cardiff are expected to further add to York City's coffers when the transfer of Lee Bullock is completed next week.
